On 17 October 2013, Maria had a two page article/profile in the People Pull Out section of Caretas magazine, a national weekly Peruvian magazine after the style of Time or Newsweek.
Independently owned, it has survived 8 attempts by different governments to shut it down.

MARIA AT THE BBC

As part of the run up to the Olympic games, the BBC has made 12 short films called “World on a Plate”, celebrating London's international population. They asked some of the people who live here to tell their stories - and to choose the food that reminds them of their roots.

Maria was one of the people approached to contribute to this. A radio version was broadcast on the BBC World Service on July 9 2012, and the two minute film can finally be seen by clicking on the link below.
